Krystal Ashe is the Assistant Director of Special Education Advocacy at The Advocacy Circle, bringing deep experience from both general and special education settings. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in Secondary Education and a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction, and is certified in teaching, gifted and talented education, and reading intervention.
Before joining The Advocacy Circle, Krystal worked as a classroom teacher and instructional designer, giving her firsthand insight into how schools make decisions about curriculum, instruction, placement, and supports. She now uses that insider perspective to help families address classroom- and curriculum-based challenges, strengthen IEP and 504 plans, and ensure that students with disabilities receive meaningful, individualized services.
In her role as Assistant Director, Krystal helps shape TAC’s advocacy approach, develops tools and resources for families, and supports advocates and families in designing practical, student-centered strategies that improve outcomes for learners while bringing clarity and confidence to their parents and caregivers.
When she’s not supporting families through The Advocacy Circle, Krystal enjoys relaxing at home with a good book, her husband, and their three dogs.
